Fishery Rules

The rules we have in place are important for the welfare of our fishery, there are no second chances or warnings. If any member of your party breaks the rules we reserve the right to terminate your carp fishing holiday for the whole group with no compensation or refund given.


  1. Vehicles may be driven to your chosen swim for loading and unloading only, please keep up near the woods.
  2. No lead core, braided mainline, or leaders are to be used under any circumstances except for markers and/or spod rods. RIGS WILL BE CHECKED.
  3. Maximum of three rods only per angler.
  4. No nuts or particles are allowed, boilie, pellet and corn only.
  5. No carp are to be retained, all fish must be returned to the water as quickly as possible.
  6. Landing nets must be over 42" in diameter, only high-sided matts minimum size 110cm x 55cm may be used. Flat matts and cradles are banned.
  7. NO carp sacks - FLOATING retainer style slings ONLY.
  8. All fish are to be lifted out the water in slings, do not lift fish in nets.
  9. All weigh slings and landing nets must be dipped in the dip tank provided on arrival.
  10. Anglers must fish from designated swims only, please see the lake map if unsure.
  11. No boats or any type of inflatables are allowed, bait boats may be used sensibly.
  12. No bent hook rigs of any kind are to be used. All rigs must be of a fish safe design.
  13. All fish over 40lb MUST be photographed in the water. Please bring waders with you.
  14. No dogs allowed without prior arrangement.
  15. We don't allow cooking or sleeping in the cabin for drive and survive guests, we have provided an outdoor covered eating area with a brick barbecue for all guests.
  16. All members of the group must be registered on our website and upload any fish caught to the catch reports page of our website.
  17. No fires or unsupported BBQs under any circumstances.
  18. Please drink responsibly accidents that happen under the influence of alcohol are not covered by French public liability insurance
  19. All bottles, cans and plastic must be taken away, there are recycling bins within a short drive in both directions, non recycling only may be placed in the bin at our entrance (key is in the lodge)
